Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jha is a dedicated and compassionate Diabetologist and Geriatrician with over 13 years of clinical experience, currently practicing in Payyoli, Kerala. With a passion for holistic and patient-centered care, he specializes in Diabetology, Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care, Diabetic Foot, and Varicose Vein Ulcer Management, offering a wide range of services tailored to meet the health needs of diverse age groups, especially the elderly.
Born in Bihar and educated across India, Dr. Jha completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College, Kerala and went on to pursue Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (PGDGM) from the prestigious MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. Further enhancing his credentials, he completed the CCEBDM in Diabetology from Mumbai and BCCPM in Palliative Medicine from AIIMS, New Delhi. This robust academic background empowers him to treat patients with evidence-based and empathetic care.
Dr. Jha has served at various reputed medical institutions, including Anand Hospital, Doctors Clinic, and Care & Cure Hospital in Payyoli, along with active involvement in multiple Palliative Care centers across
Kerala. Known for his unwavering commitment to community health, he has provided medical services across rural and semi-urban setups and has played a pivotal role in healthcare access for the underprivileged.
He currently attends to patients at different Palliative Day Care Centres throughout the week, including centers in Perambra, Shanthi Payyoli, Nest Koyilandy, Meppayur, Maniyur, and Thikkodi, where he provides dedicated care to patients with chronic and terminal illnesses.
